Sally Powell
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- (she/her/hers)
Prior to receiving my Masters degree, I have worked in mental health for 14 years as a psychiatric RN. Throughout my career, I have had numerous psychiatric experiences, leading me to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with patients across the lifespan from kids to older adults. I have experience treating patients with severe and persistent mental illness, depression and mood disorders, substance use and detoxification, justice involved patients, chronic pain management, patients receiving ECT, and geriatric psychiatry. More recently, I have been an affiliate faculty at Regis University, teaching psychiatric nursing clinical rotations and simulation labs with the school of nursing. I bring vast knowledge of outpatient psychiatric care settings and years of experience to the practice.
I appreciate the bravery and vulnerability needed to engage in treatment. I value meeting patients where they are at on their mental wellness journey, and look forward to creating a partnership that is safe and authentic.
I love the outdoors and enjoy backcountry skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. I love coffee and reading a good book. I especially love my yellow lab, Hattie.
