Front Office Medical Assistant:
As our front office Administrative Medical Assistant you will support the clinical operations and general activities in an administrative capacity answering phones and assisting clients with scheduling their appointments with providers. We are looking for a welcoming voice and positive attitude that promotes healing and recovery.
You will report to the Wellness Director/Office Manager.
Main Responsibilities can include:
• Schedule appointments and manage calendars for providers
• Handle phone calls, emails and other correspondence
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
• Coordinate with providers
• Sending paperwork and assessments to patients
• Prior authorizations for medications *(experience is a must)
• Assisting providers with their needs
• Assisting patients with their needs
• Greeting patients upon arrival to the office
• Insurance verification
• Composing letters for patients (school, work, etc.)
• Urine drug screens and documentation
• Intramuscular Injections
• Patient vital signs: weight, height, blood pressure, heart rate, and respirations
• Record admission and discharge information.
• Knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities.
• Other related duties.

Location: In-person work supporting our facilities including, Denver and Boulder Area Locations and occasional remote work.
Schedule: 40 hours per week (4-8 hour shifts), roving schedule: 7 days a week 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm depending on roving schedule. Weekend hours required.
What We Need for this Job:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of experience with customer service and experience within healthcare or service environments
• A team player
• Proficiency with medical terminology.
• Proficiency with data entry, transcription, and dictation.
• Knowledge of Electronic Health Records.

The typical hiring range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hour for Certified Medical Assistant and $19.00 - $23.00/hour for Non-Certified Medical Assistant, based on relevant years of experience.
Preferred:
• Certified Medical Assistant highly preferred
• Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
